Standings
Bay Area BassBusters (BABB) is a continuation of the Santa Clara BassBusters bass fishing club. Rebranding the club’s name establishes a broader regional identity in order to reach potential new members by increasing interest of bass anglers in Bay Area counties.

This club transition introduces several significant operational changes aimed at growth, efficiency and adapting to the changing landscape of club level competitive bass angling.

Club membership dues are now $120 per year, a departure from the $20 per month ($240 per year) previous requirement. The change in membership dues offers several benefits:

    - The club Board is better able to asses the financial health of the club and plan the
       budget for the year.

    - A reduction in the burden of tracking and collecting dues on a monthly basis.

    - The yearly membership dues cost is reduced, putting more money back into
       members’ pockets.

Membership dues are intended to fund essential club operating costs with the remainder used for yearly awards.

A two-division tournament format has been created to provide a more balanced and fairer competitive environment for all participants. Those two divisions are Division 1 (“Boater”) and Division 2 (“Co-Angler”).

Division 1 (“Boater”) is for competitors who primarily operate a boat in BABB tournaments. Division 2 (“Co-Angler”) is for competitors who do not primarily operate the tournament boat. The two divisions are designed to create a level playing field by ensuring tournament participants compete amongst other similarly situated competitors.

Revised tournament rules are in place to ensure fairness, such as only allowing participation in one division at a time and a specific mandatory tournament entry fee for each division. The goal is to maintain equal competition with clear rules for Angler of The Year (AOY) points, specific tournament payouts for each division and “Big Fish” competition.

The club’s Bylaws, tournament rules and Code of Conduct documents are available via the Bylaws Conduct Rules webpage. This webpage may be accessed from any webpage by selecting the Bylaws & Rules tab (top right on the webpage).
