Dynamic Duo Defeats Darkness
Lakeport, CA - Conquering the moonless darkness of this seasons only night tournament Spiro Stamos and Marshall Smith managed to find the right bites to keep evil at bay for one more newsletter. Working the Rattlesnake arm with cranks, jigs and a Huddleston swimbait the team managed to wrestle 22.83lbs of ornery Clearlake bass to the scales.
Just slightly more than a half pound behind,EL Presidente Diablo jr. and the equally suspicious Ryan Schmidt secured second place with 22.28 lbs. These two masters of darkness worked the rock-piles around Jago Bay with Senkos to get their limit, then relied on a black and red chatterbait to cull up. Their plan seemed to work as they brought in a 7lb clearlake hawg, the big fish of the tournament.
Dean Ziemer and Glenn Hayashimoto edged out Robert Paris and Dennis McMasters by one tenth of a pound with their 19.29 lb sack to secure third place.
They used a white DD22 and 10" black Power Worms to catch their limit which included a 6.81lb beauty that was the second big fish of the night.
Get Well Ryan
Here's a shout out to our buddy Ryan Schmidt who is currently healing from his Evel Knievel like attempt to jump over the hood of an SUV with his motorcycle. That ought to teach him not to spend money on any hobbies other than bass fishing
Boating Safety
Remember there is a 2lb penalty if you come back to the weigh-in dead or without your non-boater.
